I seriously feel like Tom Hanks in Cast Away right now. I'm only minutes away from naming my little space heater Wilson and growing out my beard.
I think it's a good look for me, and I love Tom Hanks. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, so it's only natural, right? But seriously, there isn't much to do in Bloomington on the Thursday before classes. The snow made driving pretty miserable, but I managed to purchase all of my books and make a trip to Kroger. For the first time in my college career, TIS saved me money when Amazon didn't. They had a package of two books for $30 that would have been $50 on Amazon. There were plenty of rip-offs that Amazon did save me from however, so I'm not complaining at all. Plus I found a used copy of one book through Amazon for $71 when TIS was selling it for $100+.
The highlight of my evening: watching Star Trek for the first time. Definitely a movie that I should've seen in theaters when it came out, because I absolutely loved it. I'm even trying to convince my dad to watch it.
That's really all I've got... Tomorrow is my orientation for UITS Tech Support. I'm excited since I'll finally get my schedule and I can start planning my semester for real. I still need to find a place in Bloomington to volunteer. Any ideas?
