"A Grand Scene For A Color Film"

Uh oh. My bank account just dropped below the $1000 mark (thank you, tuition payments not covered by my loans) and my room in Bloomington has absolutely no food right now. And I'm making a surprise trip back today to beat the ensuing blizzard. Yay...

One of my favorite posts was a dream I had about auditioning for the Bluecoats. Last night I had another interesting dream that definitely doesn't outdo Mr. Boneyard by any means, but is still worth mentioning since I rarely have dreams worth talking about.

I was buying a present for my nephews at a toy store, and as I walked in to a very busy store, the owner--an old hag of a woman--starts following me around as if I'm the most suspicious person to ever set foot through those doors. After repeatedly telling her that I'm just looking around for my nephews, she still obviously stalks me as I look through the store. I finally see something that I think they'd like--Legos in different animal shapes. But they didn't have any animals that I thought they'd like, so I asked my stalker if there were any different animals. She sends me off with a younger girl to look in the back of the store, explaining the "situation" with her in German. I tried asking the young girl what the problem was in English, but she just stared at me so I offered my awful translation auf Deutsch. She understood well enough, but as she started to explain the old woman came back and heard the girl telling all of her secrets, and then the woman started screaming something and then the next thing I knew I was stuck in a dungeon. On the wall was a handwritten map of instructions on how to get out of the dungeon's maze--ironically in my own handwriting. None of the directions really made sense and some of the directions were just silly: "Hop on one foot three times and then walk through the door." I thought to myself, "This is just absurd," and laid down to go to sleep. I woke up and it was only 3am.
