Important lesson for the week: my freezer does not freeze ice cream sandwiches. What good is a freezer when it doesn't actually freeze things?
Tonight I feel as if I've embraced my inner nerd. I'm really, really enjoying my technical support job, which I'm really not sure why I never really pursued this more in-depth before because I've always loved computers. As a result, I've spent the last eight hours in front of a computer. Three of those hours were for T284, followed by another four for my job, and then the last hour has been dealing with things I would've dealt with when I was at work, but needed files on my own computer for. Days like this really make me wonder what people did before computers...
In the vein of technology, my new printer is working out smashingly. I haven't printed out anything substantial yet, but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the desk room now that I have the luxury of moving my printer behind me. In fact, it may even stop me from falling asleep on the futon now.
Haha, just kidding.
Tomorrow should be a big day. I'm getting my car fixed (hopefully) and checking out what may be my apartment next year (which is a really hairy situation at the moment), and then working another 4-hour shift. The fun thing is that it's in Briscoe.
Fun facts that will make tomorrow interesting:
- I've never been in Briscoe.
- I've never worked a residential shift.
- Residential shifts mean that I have to do appointments when people have problems in their rooms.
- I'm really not sure what to expect.
- I may not have a car to get there.
So yeah. I'll definitely let you know how that goes...
