Every once in a while, something happens that completely throws my perspective out of whack.
This was one of those nights.
My nephews mean the world to me. Yeah, they drive me insane sometimes, but I absolutely would not trade them for anything. Last semester, my sister sent me an e-mail that actually made me cry a little (note: this never happens) because she said they remind her more and more of me as time goes on. And tonight I realized something: I'm being watched.
It's hard to explain in simple terms, but sometimes you just know when someone is watching to see what you do, what you wear, and how you react to situations. And dinner tonight reminded me that bad attitudes are far more contagious than good ones, and it takes a heck of a person to keep a positive attitude around so much negativity.
No matter who you are or what you're doing in life, there's always someone somewhere watching everything you do. You may not realize that it's happening and you may never know who it is, but I promise you that someone is watching you. And someday that person or those people will justify their own actions based on what you have done or what you have said... So every once in a while, just stop and think if who you are is the person you want those people to follow.
In the golden age of Twitter, I guess the way to put this is... Are you worth being followed?

Hi Ryan! I just "followed" you because you "followed" me, and I feel creepily Twitter-like. And to answer your question....you're the first person that I've ever followed so of course you're worth following :)
