i honestly wish i could find the words to describe everything i've felt in the last twenty-four hours. or the last five minutes. but i don't think there are words for any of those emotions.

so i'm just going to leave you with two instructions:

step one: look up on youtube or download on itunes (you really should buy it, and listen to it over and over...) a sigur rós song you may find credited as "track 3," "untitled 3," or "samskeyti." listening to it with headphones and alone is preferable.

step two: ponder this quote. it's from the movie the beach and i heard this quote and the song together through the 2007 flanagan high school world class winter guard show "waiting for it to hit me." but that part doesn't really matter. make it your own.

and me, i still believe in paradise. but now at least i know it's not some place you can look for, because it's not where you go. it's how you feel for a moment in your life when you're a part of something, and if you find that moment... it lasts forever...
