Well, there's really been a lot going on around here, which is why I never really get a chance to update this. I honestly can't say there's really a dull moment in my life right now, but that may not necessarily be a good thing. My classes are slowly kicking my butt--German is by far one of the hardest classes I've taken, doing two English classes in one day was the dumbest decision of my life, I pretty much refuse to go to M118 because it's just dumb (my professor does the examples in the book... so as long as I read the book, I'm fine), modern dance is just flat out kicking my butt, and my telecom class is just time-consuming because for the next three weeks I have to watch a movie each week and critique it.
Other than classes, things have just been ridiculous. I'm trying desperately to get everything figured out, but it seems like everything I want to get involved with has meetings on the same night. Everyone wants to do something on Thursday between 7 and 8, and I really can't be in 4 places at once. Plus, working 15+ hours a week at Auntie Anne's may be the dumbest decision of my life, but marching drum corps--if I do it--won't pay for itself. In fact, working 15 hours a week from now until Thanksgiving will probably ONLY cover the cost of getting to the audition and back. And someday I'm going to have to pay off my student loans.
Meanwhile, I'm reconsidering being a teacher. I'm not really sure what made me do it, but today I just decided that maybe teaching really is what I'm supposed to do with my life. But really, I'm not sure. I'm perfectly fine with being a student for the rest of my life--I like learning new stuff, so why not? If I stay in college for ten years, I'm bound to accumulate enough credits to graduate with some kind of degree.
My biggest wastes of time this semester have been One Tree Hill and Questionable Content. I strongly recommend One Tree Hill. I never thought I'd be the "teen drama on the WB/CW" type, but I started watching the new season, which is set a year after the cast gets out of college, and I'm absolutely hooked. Mostly because the music is absolutely superb and the kid who plays Jamie is probably the most amazing child actor on television. I'm not kidding, he's amazing and absolutely adorable. I just finished watching the first season on DVD, and the whole thing is great, even if my roommate keeps making fun of me for it.
Anyway, there's so much more that I could put here, but I really just have time for the "bare bones" update. I've got laundry to do and math homework to finish before bed.
